Neil Sheed

Neil grew up in the Cabrach, the elder son of David and Maureen. He spent his childhood with his brother Martin at Aldunie in the Upper Cabrach living with his parents and paternal grandparents, John and Lizzie. Neil moved to Aberdeen to study at University and since graduating has been employed full time, working for the NHS since 2002.

Neil has taken a deep interest in both family and local history and continues to spend time on researching both the Cabrach and the Sheed’s place in it. He enjoys connecting with people from all around the world who are seeking to find their way back to their ‘wee bit hill and glen’.

Neil Sheed

Neil grew up on a busy family farm where everybody pitched in to help mucking byres, filling loads of neeps and feeding pet lambs. One of his happiest childhood memories was of clipping day when many of the locals would congregate to share the work. It was a proud day to be allowed to sit at the dinner table for the first time and participate in the adult conversation.
