The Cabrach Trust

Membership

The Cabrach has a special significance in Scottish history. This fragile rural community was once a self-sustaining upland settlement but has now reached a critical point in its long history. With a spiral of depopulation over the last century, the heritage and history, which makes the area unique are at risk of being lost.

By becoming a member you are helping support our charity’s work to regenerate the Cabrach as a thriving, sustainable community with its history, heritage and place in Scottish history celebrated and shared by all.

Membership Options

We are now accepting registrations for full “Community” members or “Friend of” members of The Cabrach Trust.

Community Member of The Cabrach Trust

Residents of the Cabrach and adjoining parishes of Dufftown, Rhynie, Lumsden, and Glass can sign up to become a Community Member of The Cabrach Trust as per the Trust’s Articles of Association. 

Friend of The Cabrach Trust

Residents out with the above noted community areas can sign up to become a Friend of The Cabrach Trust.

Residents out-with the Cabrach community areas* can sign up to become a Friend of The Cabrach Trust.

Through collective buy-in to our community regeneration mission, we are achieving collective impact.
 
Some of what you’ll enjoy includes:
  • Invitation to attend the AGM
  • Invitation to Member Only Events including our annual Burns Supper and Members BBQ at The Cabrach Distillery.
  • Quarterly Newsletters.
  • Invitations to ‘Meet the Trust’ sessions and project working groups.
  • Importantly, all membership donations will be focused on upkeep and enhancement of your Discovery Trails, ensuring they remain a welcoming and accessible part of our community and ongoing nature recovery efforts.

Become a Friend of The Cabrach Trust

Community Membership

Annual Membership

£10.00/per year

Residents of the Cabrach and adjoining parishes of Dufftown, Rhynie, Lumsden, and Glass can sign up to become a Community Member of The Cabrach Trust as per the Trust’s Articles of Association.

Through collective buy-in to our community regeneration mission, we are achieving collective impact. In further support of that impact, from July 1st we are introducing an annual £10 donation for Community Membership, with the option to give more if you wish. Although a small donation, the strategic significance is far greater. With this change we are also refreshing what being a member of The Cabrach Trust looks like. Some of what you’ll enjoy includes:
  • Full voting rights and attendance at our AGM.
  • Invitation to Member Only Events including our annual Burns Supper and Members BBQ at The Cabrach Distillery.
  • Quarterly Newsletters.
  • Invitations to ‘Meet the Trust’ sessions and project working groups.
  • Importantly, all membership donations will be focused on upkeep and enhancement of your Discovery Trails, ensuring they remain a welcoming and accessible part of our community and ongoing nature recovery efforts.
