The Cabrach Trust
Grant Gordon is a philanthropist and social entrepreneur. He is the founder and Chairman of the Childhood Trust, Chairman of the Ethos Foundation and a trustee of other charities. He is also the chairman and founder of The Cabrach Trust.
Grant’s family have deep roots in the Cabrach and he has lived part-time at the family home at Reekimlane since he was a child. Grant’s three times great grandfather Charles Gordon was born and brought up at Reekimlane. Charles taught as schoolmaster at schools across the area including the Cabrach. In 1887 he married Isabella Grant of Dufftown which took him into her family business William Grant & Sons. Today, William Grant & Sons is the largest of the handful of Scotch whisky distillers to remain in family ownership.
