As the clock ticks down on 2022 we wanted to reflect upon the year that’s been and extend our sincere thanks to our Cabrach community, near & far. Across a year marked by sustained, exciting progress, your unflinching support of the Trust has been incredible. 

The clocks have changed, a busy October has come and gone for the Trust, and we are gearing up for the dark months ahead with every intention of maintaining momentum through the Cabrach winter.

The Cabrach Old School Hall and House has fallen into disrepair. Over the last 6 months The Cabrach Trust has been working with Community Enterprise to engage the local community as we collectively consider future development options for the building.

The Cabrach Discovery Trails will be officially opened on Saturday 30th April at 11am by Mrs Maureen Sheed, from the oldest family in the Cabrach community, and The Lord Lieutenant of Banffshire.  

To restore the 'Old Bothy' required a new way of viewing this asset and the role it could play supporting our activities at The Cabrach Trust over the years to come. Here the idea of developing a rural skills and wellbeing hub began to grow.

The Cabrach Trust is excited to welcome Jonathan Christie as their new CEO. Most recently Deputy UK Director at The Wood Foundation where he served for ten years, Jonathan is set to bring a wealth of third sector leadership experience to the role, alongside a deep belief in the power of people and communities to create positive change.
