Sunday 27th July | 12:00 Noon onwards
Location: Old School Walled Garden, Inverharroch

Join us for a memorable day at the Cabrach Picnic and Games, an event quickly becoming one of Scotland’s most beloved and family-friendly Highland Games! Set in the picturesque Old School Walled Garden in Inverharroch, this year’s gathering promises an exciting mix of traditional Scottish fun, community spirit, and history.

What to Expect:

  • Highland Games for All: Whether you’re a seasoned athlete or just looking for some fun, our Have-a-Go Highland Games are perfect for both children and adults. Get involved in the iconic events like the Tug-o-War, Caber Toss, and more, with expert guidance from Charlie Murray, President of the Royal Scottish Highland Games Association.
  • Live Music & Dance: The event kicks off with a performance by the renowned Huntly Pipe Band at 12:00 PM, bringing the sound of Scotland’s heritage to life. Throughout the afternoon, enjoy stunning Highland Dance performances led by Alison Gordon of the School of Dance.
  • The Historic Trophy Returns: Last year, we saw the return of a historic trophy to The Cabrach for the first time in nearly a century. Who will claim it in 2025? Come witness the competition and be part of history in the making!
  • Family Fun for Everyone: From thrilling games to live entertainment, there’s something for everyone. Enjoy a day of laughter, competition, and celebration in a setting steeped in tradition.
  • Food & Refreshments: There will be plenty of local food and drinks available to keep you fueled throughout the day. Alternatively, bring your own picnic and relax in the beautiful surroundings with family and friends.

The Cabrach Picnic and Games is not just an event; it’s a celebration of community, heritage, and the spirit of Speyside. Whether you’re a local or visiting for the first time, we invite you to share this historic day with us and the Cabrach community.
