Event Details

During this one day, experimental workshop you will have the chance to explore techniques in mono-printing and relief printing without using a printing press. You will make a series of experimental monoprints using rollers, pencils, hand tools etc. Block-printing will be covered using Collagraph (handmade printing blocks), found objects and cut blocks (Lino) to a personal design.

There will be the option of preparing the print surface through the use of paper collage and each person will explore their own ideas, choosing whether to concentrate on one technique or a combination of techniques.

All materials are provided and a sheet detailing what to bring on the day will be provided nearer the time.

This hands-on workshop is suitable for complete beginners as well as for those with some experience.

Please bring a packed lunch and snacks.

The cost of this workshop includes all materials. Community Members (Cabrach, Lumsden, Rhynie, Glass and Dufftown) are subsidised through community funding. Friends of the Cabrach Trust also receive a discount.
