This rural craft workshop is hosted by Marguerite from Westfield Croft. Marguerite is a local crofter with a small breeding flock of rare breed sheep on her smallholding in Aberdeenshire.
This half day workshop will be held at Inverharroch Farmhouse with the backdrop of the Cabrach’s historic and stunning landscape. You will learn about the traditional craft of Peg Loom Weaving and make your own small rug from washed, natural sheep’s fleece to take away with you.
This workshop has been subsidised by funding by Inspiring Scotland for the local community. If you live in the Cabrach, Lumsden, Rhynie, Glass or Dufftown you will receive the discounted rate.
Tea and Coffee is provided. Please bring your own snacks.
Covid guidelines will be followed and we ask that you complete a lateral flow test before you attend.

A bit about Westfield Croft
Westfield Croft is a smallholding near Rothienorman in Aberdeenshire, developing a sustainable craft business in wool and willow. Frank and Marguerite have a small breeding flock of British rare breed sheep (Boreray and Hebridean breeds) and a rejuvenated willow coppice producing hazel and basketry willow.
